4G Mobile Broadband recently released an infographic depicting the parallel growth of 3G-HSPA and LTE in terms of the number of networks around the world. By June 2013, both networks reach a total of almost 320 with LTE surpassing HSPA networks with its rapid growth since 2011. The networks are expected to expand at a steady pace as service providers combine both technologies to provide an overlay network that offers comprehensive coverage especially in mobile data hotspots.
