Mobile Data Analytics Key for MNOs

Openet Openet

Market research firm Infonetics Research released excerpts from its July 2013 Subscriber Intelligence Strategies: Global Service Provider Survey, which was conducted in partnership with TM Forum to explore operators’ deployment and use of subscriber intelligence solutions, as well as their supplier preferences.

Key highlights in the excerpts include the fact that the need for strategic information necessitates the use of more advanced intelligence solutions that can provide information on subscribers preferences, patterns and trends of usage and predictions on future demand.  Operators also expect to work with standalone analytics vendors for their current intelligence solutions before eventually building these in-house.

“We’ve long maintained that operators would begin taking a more strategic approach to their

subscriber data as they looked to better manage the customer experience and generate more revenue per user, and the results of our new subscriber intelligence survey confirm that prediction,” notes Shira Levine, directing analyst for service enablement and subscriber intelligence at Infonetics Research. “Subscriber intelligence solutions will grow in popularity because they enable operators to better pull together and analyze subscriber data to gain a unified, holistic view of their customers and how they’re using the network.”
