Telstra Unveils TV Streaming Box for Home Broadband Customers

Telstra has partnered with Roku to introduce the new Telstra TV streaming device for its home broadband customers. The streaming device which is priced at $109 will be available for purchase by Telstra customers from Tuesday, 27 October. Telstra will leverage Roku's streaming platform as well as its streaming devices to provide the service.

With the Telstra TV streaming player, Telstra home broadband customers can watch the most popular streaming services, rent the latest blockbuster films from BigPond Movies and catch up on their favourite TV shows. Telstra TV provides access to 15 services including apps for Presto and Netflix, as well as a number of television catch-up services including SBS on Demand, PLUS7 and 9JumpIn, said the service provider. 

The operator said that BigPond Movies and Presto will be unmetered, but data usage applies for other usages.
