Vodafone, Thursday announced that Paolo Bertoluzzo, its Group Chief Commercial Operations and Strategy Officer, will be leaving the company to become Group CEO of ICBPI, a leading financial and payment services company and the largest private equity investment in Italy.

Paolo joined Vodafone Italy in 1999 as Strategy and Business Development Director. He subsequently held various senior positions before becoming CEO in 2008. Paolo joined Vodafone’s Executive Committee in 2012 as Regional CEO for Southern Europe. In 2013 he was appointed to his current position and has since played a central role in the definition of the Group’s strategy and the design and direction of Vodafone’s group-wide commercial plans. Vodafone will be announcing Paolo’s successor in due course.
