Openet, a global leader in the supply of real-time BSS (business support systems) and customer engagement systems, today announced the appointment of Damian Artt to the role of Global Vice President of Sales. Damian will drive global sales, services, solutions and process at Openet, Ireland’s largest privately-owned technology firm. The company has also announced the promotion of Sohil Sami to Global Vice President, Professional Services.

Prior to joining Openet, Damian served as SVP Worldwide Sales at MobileIron, where he drove record sales results. Preceding this role, he served as President and General Manager of Polycom Americas, a business that achieved more than $700m in annual revenue. Damian who holds a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Queens University, Belfast joined Polycom after eight years at Wind River, where he served as SVP of Worldwide Sales and Services. 

Openet's new Global Vice President Professional Sales, Sohil joined Openet in 2001, and previously held the position of Vice President of Professional Services focusing on the North and Latin American markets.

Sohil Sami has more than 20 years of experience in the delivery of strategic software projects for telecommunications providers, cable companies and other software customers across both North and Latin America. He holds a B.A in Economics from George Mason University.
