BT has announced the appointment of Clive Selley as the new CEO of Openreach, replacing Joe Garner who is leaving to become CEO of Nationwide Building Society. Clive who is currently CEO of BT Technology, Service and Operations (BT TSO) and Group Chief Information Officer will assume his new role in the first quarter of this year.
His role as CEO at BT TSO saw Clive managing twelve thousand staff, eight thousand contractors and a multi-billion pound budget. Clive also chairs BT’s cyber security council.
Clive, 54 brings considerable technological and management experience in areas relating to networks, software development, IT and various forms of engineering. He also has an extensive knowledge of regulatory affairs, said BT in a statement.
