Zain Group announced Peter Kaliaropoulos as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 'touch’, a leading mobile operator in Lebanon that Zain manages on behalf of the Lebanese government, replacing Wassim Mansour, the outgoing CEO. touch holds a 53 per cent market share, serving over two million customers and has rolled out 3G services nationwide and 4G services in parts of the country.
Kaliaropoulos brings with him 30 years of experience in the international ICT sector, and played a key role in the transformation and growth of a number of companies operating across the Asia-Pacific and Gulf regions. In his varied roles, Kaliaropoulos has been responsible for driving customer-centric operating cultures, optimization of productivity levels and implementing growth strategies. He has also served as a Director on the Board of various technology and telecommunication companies in Singapore, India, USA, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
