Vodafone Friday named Hannes Ametsreiter who is currently the Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive of Telekom Austria Group as Vodafone Germany's Chief Executive. Hannes Ametsreiter is also the Chief Executive of A1 which was created after the merger of Mobilkom Austria AG and Telekom Austria TA AG. In addition to his responsibilities as Vodafone Germany Chief Executive, Hannes Ametsreiter will also become a member of the Vodafone Group Executive Committee.
Hannes Ametsreiter who graduated from the University of Salzburg, began his professional career as a brand manager with Procter & Gamble before joining Mobilkom Austria in 1996 in a product management role. He was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Mobilkom Austria in 2001, became Chief Marketing Officer of Telekom Austria TA AG in 2007 and was appointed as Chief Executive of Telekom Austria Fixed Net in January 2009. He was appointed to his current role in April 2009.
