Dev Ittycheria Takes Over As the President and Chief Executive of MongoDB

Dev Ittycheria becomes the President and Chief Executive Officer of MongoDB, a leading database company serving a multitude of large and medium organizations across many sectors all over the world. In the telecom space, MongoDB provides in-memory database that supports, among others, real-time services for mobile operators including subscriber self-care services and network analytics. 

Dev takes over from Max Schireson who will now become the Vice Chairman of the company. Dev was the co-founder and CEO of BladeLogic, a company that provides business service management software. According to a statement from MongoDB, BladeLogic is one of the fastest growing enterprise software companies in the last decade. Dev founded the company in 2001 and took it public in 2007 before selling it to BMC software in 2008 for USD900 million. Dev led BMC Software as the President of the Enterprise Service Management business. 

Dev is presently a Board Member of several companies including Datadog, Signpost, AppDynamics and BazaarVoice. Dev graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Rutgers University in New Jersey, US.
