Tekmovil, a specialized full-service wireless distribution company, announced that industry leader Juan Carlos Barreto has joined the company as CFO.

Barreto has more than 25 years of financial management experience in the IT technology and wireless telecommunications industries. 

Barreto has been acting CFO for Tekmovil since September 2019. He joined the company from Phoenix Tower International where he was CFO. Prior to this, Barreto served as CFO of Brightstar Latin America. Before Brightstar, Barreto spent 17 years at IBM, most recently as the Global Integrated Technology Delivery Finance Executive. While at IBM, he held multiple financial roles in LATAM including CFO IBM Mexico, LATAM Controller, CFO IBM Peru and Andean Region Planning and Pricing Manager.

Barreto holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Leuven. He earned his Licentiate and Bachelor in Economics from the Universidad del Pacifico in Lima.
