Swisscom announced the appointment of Lukas Hohl as the CEO of its Blockchain subsidiary from 1 May 2019.

Swisscom Blockchain offers blockchain technology consulting and project services to companies across all industries, and has been a driving force behind the development of blockchain applications since 2017. In conjunction with other Swisscom units, Swisscom Blockchain also supplies basic technology, such as a secure infrastructure for blockchain applications (Hyperledger Fabric) or the Tokenization Launchpad for token generation.

Since January 2019, the Swisscom subsidiary has been managed on an interim basis by Roger Wüthrich-Hasenböhler, Chief Digital Officer of Swisscom. With Lukas Hohl, an experienced leader and entrepreneur is now taking over the management of Swisscom Blockchain

Over the past 15 years, the 41-year-old ETH engineer and Harvard Business School alumnus has held various roles at BearingPoint, Swisscom, Sofgen and Synpulse, advising numerous financial companies on business and IT topics in Asia, the USA and Switzerland and leading various consulting teams.
