Swisscom has appointed Christoph Aeschlimann as the new Head of the IT, Network & Infrastructure Group division from February 2019.

He will also be a member of the Swisscom Group Executive Board.

He will succeed Heinz Herren as of 1 February 2019. After 17 years at Swisscom, including more than ten as a member of the Group Executive Board, Heinz Herren has decided to step down as Head of the IT, Network & Infrastructure Group division with effect from 1 February 2019 and focus on strategic projects and tasks on behalf of CEO Urs Schaeppi.

Christoph Aeschlimann is currently the CEO of international software engineering company ERNI, which is active in consulting, training, engineering and solutions. ERNI specialises in consulting and engineering services for digitisation issues, and provides customers with support in the digital world. 

Christoph Aeschlimann holds a degree in computer science from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and an MBA from McGill University, Canada.
