A1 Telekom Austria, Austria's largest telecommunications provider, announced that CEO Margarete Schramböck has tendered her resignation and is leaving the company effectively on Monday this week.

Margarete joined the operator just 18 months ago from Dimension Data Austria, where she held the position as managing director. She has over 20 years of experience, having started her career in the IT industry at Alcatel in 1995.

CTO Marcus Grausam is taking over the role while a permanent successor is sought.
