Leading carrier billing and mobile messaging firm, DIMOCO announced the foundation of a new company, DIMOCO Messaging. The new company will be an independent, global, telecom carrier-grade A2P (Application-to-Person) mobile messaging provider with a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) license. Matthias Höllerl will be leading the new entity as Managing Director.

According to DIMOCO, this strategic realignment enables DIMOCO to strengthen its carrier billing as well as its mobile messaging businesses even more. With the MVNO license and direct SMSC connections, DIMOCO can provide an independent, global, telecom carrier-grade messaging hub – allowing enterprises, operators and wholesalers to send their A2P SMS traffic directly into the mobile operator’s network without any middleman.

In June, DIMOCO expanded into the French market with the acquisition of Mpulse E.U.R.L which focuses on messaging and micropayments.

A2P messaging is a tremendously important and fast growing market. To found a new company with a dedicated focus on mobile messaging was just a logical step for us.
