  • Belgian operator, Mobistar announced that the company's 4G service has now reached 91% of the Belgian population, including 99% of the population in the capital city, Brussels, after it launched the service a year ago. As part of its anniversary celebration, the company said that it is giving away extra data as rewards, for its 4G residential clients. 
  • The second largest operator in Belgium plans to invest 150 million euros this year to further its 4G network development to reach 99% coverage by the end of this year. The operator also intends to increase the upload/download speeds on its network by developing the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) carrier aggregation technology which utilizes both 800 and 1800 MHz spectrums. Mobistar which commercially debuted the 4G network at the end of March 2014, said that it has over 500,000 customers on the 4G network and is witnessing rapid increase in traffic, recording 2.5 times more mobile data volume by the end of last year.
