In conjunction with the ongoing MWC Barcelona 2022, Tara Neal, Executive Editor of The Fast Mode spoke to Benny Yehezkel, CRO at SQream on the company's plans and showcases for this year's event.

Tara: What do you think MWC 2022 will be all about? And what are your MWC 2022 plans?

Benny: MWC 2022 will be about the challenge telcos have garnering timely and relevant insights while the volume and velocity of data increases and their system architectures become more complex with data stored on-premises, in the cloud, and at the edge.

Tara: How has the pandemic impacted the operational and business landscape of the tech segment you are operating in?

Benny: Today there is a high demand for technologies that can shorten the time from data to insights.

Telco operators are expected to provide subscribers with a positive digital work experience while managing and analyzing a huge increase in network users and traffic. There is increasingly more data that needs to be analyzed to reach important insights on how to improve the digital experience and customer satisfaction.

Tara: What emerging trends/technologies have you observed in your tech segment in recent months?

Benny: 5G data can power new business models, optimize network quality of service, and customize products and services for millions of subscribers. A recent study estimates that 5G technologies will be the driving force behind $13.1 trillion in goods and services by 2035. These services include bringing highly targeted services to millions of subscribers, optimizing network operations, and rapidly analyzing potential threats to detect anomalies that could lead to a disruption of service.

However, legacy systems with limited capacity and processing power, and siloed data stores can be insufficient to provide timely insights. Telcos are investing in more flexible system architectures that can reduce the time from data to insights to give them a competitive edge.

Benny serves as CRO at SQream,  a provider of an analytics platform that minimizes Total Time to Insights (TTTI) for time-sensitive data at any scale, both on-prem and on-cloud.
