Telekom Brunei(TelBru) has selected Aptilo Networks Aptilo Service Management Platform (SMP) to roll out carrier Wi-Fi across the country. Aptilo's platform is selected to enable users to enjoy a seamless Wi-Fi experience that offers “invisible” handoffs when roaming between Wi-Fi hotspots.

TelBru will deploy more than 60 Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide. Initially, users will enjoy 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi after requesting an SMS code. Shortly after, TelBru will enable prepaid access through vouchers, and postpaid access for existing users of TelBru’s fixed wireless service. TelBru will monetize the network by enabling Wi-Fi services to verticals such as sports venues, airports and coffee shops. They will also offer wholesale capacity to MNOs and establish roaming agreements with operators overseas to further expand their customer base.

Lim Ming Soon, CMO, TelBru
Aptilo’s proven track record of success with carrier Wi-Fi made them the right choice for TelBru.

Jan Sjönell, Managing Director, APAC, Aptilo Networks
Carrier Wi-Fi is key to customer retention, and is also a compelling business-to-business proposition that generates revenue for carriers. We are proud to work with TelBru on this exciting project.
