China Telecom became the first telecom operator in China to deploy Ericsson’s indoor LTE Radio Dot System small cells to cater for the increasing data traffic on its network. The Operator will be using the solution which allows quick deployment, high performance and efficient integration with the macro network in two of the country’s coastal provinces, Zhejiang and Guangdong.

According to Ericsson, the Radio Dot system which weighs only 300 grams enhances indoor user experience and ensures that users have access to consistent indoor and outdoor service experience. It also enables carrier aggregation of 20MHz(1.8GHz) + 20MHz (2.1 GHz) spectrums for a total of 300 Mbps peak speed. At the same time, it is able to achieve strict control of signal leaks and seamless switching between the Radio Dot Systems and the outdoor macro station.

Ericsson's small cells solution has recently been deployed by a number of leading Operators worldwide, including:

1. MTS Russia Deploys Ericsson Radio Dot System

2. Verizon Deploys Ericsson Radio Dot System Small Cells

3. Vodafone Netherlands, Ericsson Deploy Innovative Radio Dot System at Radboud University

4. Etisalat Selects Ericsson Small Cells to Improve Voice and Data User Experience
