IVR Technologies, a leading software development company in the mobile and next-generation carrier network for mobile and Voice-over-IP(VoIP) enhanced services and real-time billing solutions, today unveiled a new mobile services delivery platform - Talking SIP Mobility - to enable real-time convergent billing and value added services for Mobile Virtual Network Aggregators(MVNAs), Mobile Virtual Network Enablers(MVNEs), Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) and Machine-to-Machine(M2M) networks.

Talking SIP Mobility provides a secure multi-tenancy provisioning that enables MVNAs and MVNEs to power an unlimited number of MVNOs with the ability to create a unique market presence online - via own branded web portals - and equip them with SIM management capabilities, allowing Operators to create their own billing plans, service offering and web identity. By enabling calls to be routed off the mobile network via VoIP for more cost-effective call termination, the solution which leverages the Session Initialization Protocol(SIP) protocol, seamlessly bridges the mobile network with the SIP protocol and offers a turnkey and feature-rich solution designed for next-generation communication service providers who wish to offer a full suite of in-demand mobile and VoIP services.

IVR Technologies' solution also enables MVNAs and MVNEs to provide a highly flexible and scalable infrastructure needed by MNVOs to respond rapidly to changes in the marketplace, specifically to fuel service innovations covering new bundles, plans and and service features offered to end customers. Apart from Talking SIP Mobility's Web Services API which encourages and facilitates customization and integration with third party OSS/BSS systems and existing web portals, the open and extensible Microsoft SQL Server database which the solution is build on allows for further extensibility and third-party application support. MVNOs seeking to differentiate their services can leverage Talking SIP Mobility's application scripting language for service modification or creation, and utilize the access to the source code of the existing suite of service applications to assist with the time-to-market advantage.

On the analytics end, Talking SIP Mobility, said IVR Technologies, offers a fully integrated report designer for greater control, analysis, mining and presentment of historical network data.

Talking SIP Mobility is the culmination of a significant capital investment and years of development effort to bring the application, media and billing services of the Talking SIP platform to the mobile core network. This release provides all of the proven and field-hardened carrier-class services of Talking SIP to the MVNA and MVNE next-generation network. Mobile aggregators and enablers now have a fully integrated multi-services and convergent billing platform to allow them to maintain a competitive edge in the delivery of innovative mobile services that can leverage VoIP to drive down costs and improve profitability. Talking SIP Mobility helps IVR Technologies reinforce its leadership position of providing the best carrier-class enhanced services and real-time billing platform on which to build a successful global mobile business.

Q&A with IVR Technologies

PCC Mobile Broadband spoke to IVR Technologies on Talking SIP Mobility which will enable Mobile Virtual Network Operators to enhance their service offerings by introducing innovative plans and packages, beyond the usual call, messaging and data bundles to now cover extended plans that bundle a wider range of content and newer services such as VoLTE, M2M and data roaming, to meet the rapidly growing demand among the new generation of mobile consumers. Key ideas of the solution are captured in the following Q&A:

PCM Mobile Broadband: How fast can a new MVNO expect to have its BSS system ready for use, using IVR Technologies’ solutions ?

IVR Technologies : Talking SIP Mobility provides one of the fastest installation, configuration and go-to market times in the industry and it is backed by a senior-level technical team to help support and assist the customer during the entire process of installing, configuring, deploying and managing the solution.

PCC Mobile Broadband: Can Talking SIP Mobility be integrated with IMS/VoLTE/VoWiFi ? If yes, how will this impact an Operator’s ability to expand its offerings?

IVR Technologies: Talking SIP Mobility supports multiple standards-based industry protocols to facilitate its integration into various network installations. A major compelling advantage of Talking SIP Mobility is that it provides Operators with a complete suite of class 4 and class 5 value added services along with converged billing.  Talking SIP Mobility’s enhanced services can be provided to subscribers regardless of where they reside (e.g., the Mobile Network, VoIP network, WiFi Network). Talking SIP Mobility is highly extensible, allowing new protocols and applications to be seamlessly integrated to meet future demands while avoiding the need for costly and service impacting fork lift upgrades.

PCC Mobile Broadband: Does the platform support virtualized environments eg. SDN/NFV or are there plans to do so?

IVR Technologies: Talking SIP Mobility is a software only solution that runs on virtual servers (VMWare, Hyper V) and/or dedicated server hardware.

PCC Mobile Broadband: Given that BSS enables Operators to roll out a myriad of services – from simple quota-based plans to credit limited plans to shared plans etc – what are some of the latest service innovations that Operators can expect to explore and develop using Talking SIP Mobility?

IVR Technologies: Today’s communication networks need to be blended and Operators need to be positioned to offer their subscribers services to all access types (e.g. mobile, tablet, VoIP and WiFi across all services such as voice, data, SMS, and OTT).  The more unified an offering the  service provider can provide the better the opportunity to retain the subscriber on the network and allow them to consume services from the provider rather than giving up revenue to third parties.  The unified service offering that Talking SIP Mobility provides enhances the Operator’s profit margins and helps to build subscriber loyalty.  IVR Technologies' goal and Talking SIP Mobility's primary objective is to unify subscriber services around a single account/wallet through in-demand and industry leading enhanced converged services with unmatched flexibility for real-time billing.
