Uros, the provider of the Goodspeed mobile Wi-Fi service for travellers today announced a partnership with Vodafone Roaming Services, which in collaboration with Uros' roaming partners' networks will enhance its Goodspeed service footprint throughout the world. The agreement will see the total number of low cost business destinations reaching 77 with Uros planning to add more destinations as the partnership progresses.

Goodspeed mobile hotspots work as portable 3G routers that use the mobile network of the destination country to convert local 3G to a Wi-Fi connection. According to Uros, the hotspots can accommodate up to ten SIM cards, including the user’s own SIM, allowing international travellers to create a private WLAN network and share the connection with all Wi-Fi-enabled devices, and use data as if at home for a predictable fixed fee.

As part of its global expansion plan, the Goodspeed Wi-Fi service will be covering twelve new destinations by July this year namely Albania, Malta, Romania, Turkey, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania and New Zealand.

Tommi Uhari, CEO of Uros
With Vodafone contributing to our global footprint, we can be sure our customers can connect confidently wherever they go. We believe this agreement is a great step forward in our mission to remove issues related to international data roaming.
