Come June 2017, all 28 member states in the European Union will be doing away with roaming charges - that's the surcharge imposed by Mobile Operators on subscribers who access voice, SMS or data services when they travel to other countries. Roaming charges can be really high - especially on pay-as-you-go schemes, but then again, everything is more expensive when one is abroad. The question is, does EU's move mark the beginning of the end of roaming charges for Mobile Operators around the world?
